08.03.17 - Budby Heath Nature Reserve

Budby Heath is part of the larger Sherwood Forest national nature reserve. It comprises areas of open heather moorland and small wooded areas, and looked beautiful yesterday in the late afternoon sunshine. This was the first time Sue and the dogs had been there and we all had a great time. Unfortunately the dogs had to stay on their leads through this section because of ground nesting birds, but it didn't seem to worry them too much. In the summer it will be even more beautiful here as the heather forms a pink and purple carpet
