22.11.14 - The Last Bright Light

It had been a strange day of passing showers that all managed to avoid us, with alternating bright spells and periods of flat grey. I had a fantastic countryside run in the morning, surrounded by beautiful shafts of light piercing the dark skies, if only I could have photographed those. Then I had to make a trip to the supermarket late in the afternoon, and on the way home saw the possibility of some sunset colour in the south-west. To see it properly I had to detour to the river footpath that is always very muddy at this time of year. My footwear wasn't appropriate, but I didnt care because the sunset didn't disappoint. This was right at the end, the last flash of colour reflected in the still water of the river.
