06.10.16 - The Old Railway Line
Another day, another big sky and photomerge panorama! This is a 3 shot photomerge panorama, almost a full 180 degree view from north (left) to south (right). We're walking along the old railway line from Lincoln to Grantham, most of it has disappeared, but sections remain like this. There are thousands of miles of old disused railway lines in the UK, after major closures in the early 1960s. Some are now cycle or foot paths, but most have simply gone back under the fields.
Our weather still looks great, but it is cooling down to more normal temperatures for October as the southerly winds have moved round to the east. It is still mainly dry though, and it feels strange in a land of westerlies to have all this weather coming from unusual directions!
