This is a gallery for miscellaneous images of my hometown Lincoln in the East of England. I love the green spaces, where I often go for runs and generally recharge my batteries, but there is no escaping the majestic Cathedral and Historic Quarter. I hope that people who know Lincoln will find something new here, as well as a few old favourites. Of course there are plenty of beautiful Lincoln sunsets and more ethereal photos in other galleries.
I will keep adding photos to this gallery, so please feel free to come back again and again. Of course you could always visit us in person!
The Cathedral from Stamp End. This was once a hive of heavy engineering, that brought wealth to Lincoln until relatively recent times. The first tanks were designed, built and tested in Lincoln for instance. Most of the heavy engineering has gone now, and been replaced by lighter engineering or service industries. Just right of centre is a legacy of 1960s building madness. One of only three tower blocks to be built in the town, we got off very lightly! The building on the left is the famous "Titanic Works", seen end on.
