OK, here's the deal. A young girl, "Violet", is wandering round Gainsborough Old Hall. She is alone, then she blinks, is suddenly transported back in time and finds herself surrounded by people going about their business. This is the latest project by WAGscreen, and when completed will be available on DVD as a fine way to explore this beautiful medieval building from the comfort of your armchair.
This gallery will be a mix of "action" shots and behind the scenes footage, so many of the photos might not make much sense, but all will be revealed once the film is completed. The first day's filming was in the kitchen, the other rooms will be added as the project progresses. Day two included a scene with the Lady of the Hall Rose Hickman and a maid. There was also a glimpse of the ghostly "Grey Lady" on an upstairs corridor, and a meeting with Catherine Howard, the fifth wife of Henry VIII in the tower bedroom.
The third day of filming included some outdoor scenes, in the gardens and on top of the old Tudor Tower, and a major scene in the Victorian Ballroom. Then Violet watches John Wesley preaching outside the front of the Hall, and finds that she isn't the only person that can see the past.............
The latest shoot shows Violet following the servants through from the kitchen, and into the main hall where a banquet is in progress. There are other modern day visitors in the hall, but they can't see what Violet can see!
